Arm-folding
This makes the dolls lively with all the spirit.
The secret of making a good figure for our dolls is a 2.7mm thick wire inside the arms.
You will not find a wire this thick in other dolls.
Thanks to this thick wire, our dolls retain an excellent silhouette for many years without bending under the weight of their thick layers of silk clothing.
Arm-folding takes place after dressing a doll, setting the position of the arms, and fixing the doll’s posture.
Arm-folding cannot be done again.
Therefore, snap the arms (with a 2.7mm thick wire) with all your soul.
Therefore arm-folding is said to require ten years of training.
We want our dolls to be displayed forever – that is our desire.
Just as an example, if customers have their own Kimono or Obi (Kimono belt) remade into a doll’s attire, it will be a better remembrance and will make customers even happier.
As creators, we hope this will happen in the future.

Contemporary Master Craftsmen, like Nisei (the second) Kosho, make use of a new style based on the tradition of attire and produce superb articles of clothing.
The layers of the princesses’ hemline, in particular, broaden at regular intervals and project harmony among the beautiful colors.
Also, Kosho’s signature is his novel sense of color and style that always fit present day trends, including designer brands.
Kosho received the Minister of Education’s Award in 1982 and the Chairman of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Award in 1992.
Certified as a Traditional Craftsman of Traditional Craftwork, Edo Festival Doll designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry in 2010.
